Spring Break, is that you?

Something you may not know about me: I’m a sucker for nice cars. My dream car is a blacked out BMW M5. Google it. It’s beautiful. And like a $100,000 car. (If only I was rich, right?) I mean, my silver Kia Soul isn’t any BMW or Audi, but it’s got some horse power… (To anyone who is reading this that has a sense of cars, please don’t laugh at me. I have an imagination that runs wild sometimes.)

This is all relevant, I swear.

So I live like less than a mile away from a drag racing strip. On nights like tonight where the windows are open throughout my house, I am able to hear the beautiful sound of engines soaring, tires squealing, and that wonderful purring of an older car idling. Seriously, I’m hearing two cars race right now and I’m swooooning. My heart is pumping and my palms are getting all clammy. Now, don’t assume that I know all the mechanical crap about cars, because I’m completely clueless in that department. Seriously, I don’t even know how to check my own oil. I had to call my dad and have him meet me at a gas station just to check the air in my tires (because my stupid light was on). I’m not totally useless, though. At least I know how to pump my own gas (even though I freaking hate doing it, because I smell like gasoline afterwards, and have the serious urge to boil the hand that touched the pump because in reality I’m like how many people touched other things without washing their hands and then touched that pump?)

I just know a nice car when I see one.

And for myself, I have a love/hate relationship with driving. I love driving to clear my mind; to listen to endless music as loud as I want. I especially love driving on days like today where the high was 82 degrees, and I had all the windows down singing the Lumineers at the top of my lungs. But on days where there’s too much traffic, stupid drivers, I have to be in a million places at once, and I’m running late… then no, I hate driving.

A side note: Hunter, if you’re reading this, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

So the whole point of this blog was to say that I will be posting a blog every day next week since it’s spring break, and I will clearly have too much free time on my hands. Recently, I’ve had a lot on my mind, and what better way to organize my jumble thoughts? So be on the lookout! (:

Until next time.
