It’s been a minute since I last posted. I’m sorry it’s taken me so long.
I thought about rambling on about my recent hiking experience and how we saw a freaking snake, and it scared the hell out of me.
Or how chaotic a Saturday afternoon is in Fayetteville right when the football game lets out (Maddie and I were starving, but of course the lines were a million years long everywhere. Thank God for Mexican food).
Or the newest book I’m reading (and in love with): “the sun and her flowers” by Rupi Kaur. She wrote “milk and honey” and that book literally drug me through all the hard, silent, dark moments in a very brutal time of my life. It was there when I was at my loneliest, preparing me for what life was about to throw my way, and then afterwards it was there to pick up the pieces and put me back together. You think I’m joking. I’m not.
Or about how my classes are going. Imagine a giant wave coming straight at your face. And that pretty much sums up my college life right now. One word. MIDTERMS.
Or how I got two new tattoos, and they’re so pretty and I’m slightly obsessed. And that is completely okay.
But all of that seems kind of boring compared to what I have planned.
MY WEDDING DRESS
Yup, that’s right. I still have it packed away in the cedar chest above our staircase. It was the ONE thing I kept among all of our things. There were tons of reasons I should’ve given it away or trashed it, but I couldn’t bring myself to do that. I will give further explanation soon enough, but for now I just want y’all to be prepared, because I CANNOT WAIT TO SHARE THIS WITH Y’ALL. I’ve been brewing on this idea for a while now, and after almost six months of brainstorming, with the help of Maddie and my mom, we came up with the perfect idea. I know, I’m being super cryptic and not really giving you much, but that’s the whole point of this post. I’m merely preparing you for what’s to come. Well, trying to, because I must admit it’s pretty awesome.
If you think you know what’s coming, you don’t.

So that’s all I have right now. And yes, this post is super short. For that, I am sorry. To make up for it, here are some pictures of my recent life adventures, and a few quotes from Rupi’s new book (which I highly recommend).
enjoy 🙂
FYI: I hate straightening or curling my hair. I think I look funny, so this is a once-in-a-lifetime picture, people.
In case you’re wondering, here are two of my favs from the book so far.
I have one more section left to go!

Have a great Sunday.
Eat lots of food, say something nice to someone, and take a nap.
Because that’s totally what Sunday’s are for.
