Okay, so about a month ago I went to see Brother Moses with Aubrey. It was their hometown show, and there was SOOOO many people there. I actually didn’t realize how many people was shoved into George’s (because Aubrey and I were one of the first people there, so we were close to the stage). Turns out there was like over six hundred people. Which is awesome and amazing for the bands, BUT as an audience member… You have two options: remain with your arms tucked down at your side, or keep them in the air like you just don’t care.

Here is a picture of Aubrey giving her best mean mug to the guys that kept wedging us apart. LIKE STAY IN YOUR AREA AND QUIT SPREADING OUT LIKE A DAMN SEA OMG WE JUST WANT TO STAND BY EACH OTHER.

Brother Moses didn’t disappoint, though. There was tons of dancing and singing on our part. (Also, I sincerely apologize to anyone that was standing near me. My hair is long and, yes, I am six feet tall. No, I wasn’t wearing heels.) If you haven’t checked them out, I highly recommend it! • Older

The openers were Duncan Fellows & The Band CAMINO. I’d never heard of Duncan Fellows until they opened, and I can honestly say I really enjoyed them. Have a listen for yourself. • Fresh Squeezed

So about three months ago, I was listening to random songs on my Spotify. You know, when your playlist runs out and it kicks on a radio similar to the things on your playlist. Anyways, The Band CAMINO’s song, “Black and White” came on and I just fell in love. Usually when I fall this hard for a song I will check out the band and practically binge listen to them for a while. After three months of binge listening to them, I was more than ready to see them live. I genuinely love their sound and lyrics and music–basically everything.

They just released a new song, “Berenstein” and it’s SOOO good. I’m bummed I didn’t get to hear them play it that night. But here’s another one of my favorites (mostly because the guitar solo gives me all the feels). • I Spend Too Much Time In My Room

They played and I loved every (well, almost) moment of it. To put it bluntly, it was slightly a let down. Maybe I went in with too high of expectations for them, or maybe it was the fact that the venue was so packed I couldn’t move (dance; breathe; whatever). I really wanted a shirt afterwards, but the line was hella long and Aubrey and I were starving for some Hurt’s Donuts.

All in all, I loved that night as much as the lead singer loved himself.

I’ll keep this part short and sweet, because we are all in prep mode for the holiday.

Christmas is four days away. Walmart is a mad house. The mall is full of last minute shoppers. It’s seventy degrees outside.

I love this time of the year (post finals). I love Christmas trees and all the fun decorations that come along with this time of year, and all of the yummy food (b/c come on–mashed potatoes).

I love that I get off of work for almost two weeks (perks of working at a public school), and I really love that I get a whole month of from college. But the best part is that I get to sit around and doing absolutely nothing with some pretty amazing people. My family is super chill on the holidays. We eat, open presents, and literally become lazy as possible. It’s great.

Also, I got Madie a mug with my face on it. I highly recommend you get your bff a mug with your face on it. It’s hilarious and they get to enjoy seeing you every time they use it ❤

Basically, I just wanted to tell y’all to have a wonderful holiday. Eat lots of cookies and pie and turkey and mashed potatoes. Lay around and watch holiday movies. Stay off of social media for a day. Pause on work and all your busy life responsibilities. Spend time with the people you love. Everything else will still be there tomorrow.
